We were in town for parent's weekend at R.I.T. and were looking for something different to do outdoors. I called Brighton Honey to inquire about a visit to the apiary... read more and buying honey. The beekeeper, Ward, was welcoming and accommodating to my request. He gave us a personal tour in his backyard of the apiary and relayed many interesting facts to us about bees! This is not a structured facility and a walking tour. It is a family that welcomes you into their home and onto their property to share with you a piece of their lives. We were able to purchase honey, and it is delicious! I highly recommend a pit stop to Brighton Honey to check out the apiary and to buy some honey. Thank you Ward and family!

I’ve bought delicious honey from Brighton Honey a few times and always loved it, but today we needed help with something else..... BEES! We woke to a bunch of... read more honeybees making their way into our house from the attic, coming through the light fixtures. YIKES. I called Ward, and he was able to come and help us get rid of them. He was very knowledgeable and quick, he gave us great advice and we were able to save tons of $$ by calling him vs an exterminator. 10/10 would recommend the honey and bee removal!!

We were all impressed with his knowledge of honeybees and the history and relevant present day information. We all learned a lot and the presentation was both engaging and fun! We did a taste test of the different honey varieties and it was delicious honey. BRAVO! To Brighton Honey and Ward; we would certainly look at having him back for future events!

I love that I know this honey comes from a small producer and that care goes into the bee keeping, harvesting and packaging of the honey.
