We were in town for parent's weekend at R.I.T. and were looking for something different to do outdoors. I called Brighton Honey to inquire about a visit to the apiary... read more and buying honey. The beekeeper, Ward, was welcoming and accommodating to my request. He gave us a personal tour in his backyard of the apiary and relayed many interesting facts to us about bees! This is not a structured facility and a walking tour. It is a family that welcomes you into their home and onto their property to share with you a piece of their lives. WOW!!! Ward is terrific! We had a sudden Honeybee swarm turn into thousands of bees and a 9inch deep hive in our yard close to our pool. The best part of what we wrongly assumed was to be an ordeal...Wards’ Spring and Fall honeys are fantastic, you have to try some for yourself.

I called Ward, and he was able to come and help us get rid of them. He was very knowledgeable and quick, he gave us great advice and we were able to save tons of $$ by calling him vs an exterminator. 10/10 would recommend the honey and bee removal!!
