The beekeeper, Ward, was welcoming and accommodating to my request. He gave us a personal tour in his backyard of the apiary and relayed many interesting facts to us about bees! This is not a structured facility and a walking tour. It is a family that welcomes you into their home and onto their property to share with you a piece of their lives. My wife and I took our two young grandsons to learn about beekeeping, and Ward was wonderfully accommodating. He did a great job showing and talking about the bees and... read more hives. Of course, the grand finale was having the boys taste his delicious honey and take home some honeycomb and a honey bear. They have been sharing their excitement and experience with their classmates and friends. Well done, Ward.
